Meditation

Meditation relaxes the body quickly and calms the mind. When you meditate, you detach from your habitual thoughts and worries by focusing on the sensations of the present. You can destress in less than a minute by meditating "on the spot". Longer sessions will relax your body to the point of sleep and make the mind delightfully still and clear.

Meditation is ideal for anxiety and stress-related illnesses. By switching on the "relaxation response", it can take you out of the stress zone, restoring the body to balance. Meditation is particularly good for insomnia, hypertension, migraines, fatigue, pain, digestive problems and chronic illness.

People may meditate for a variety of reasons, including

  • improved health and sleep
  • reduced stress and anxiety
  • enhanced performance and creativity
  • deeper concentration and clarity of mind
